Free rides to the polls offered in eight South Carolina counties on Election Day

(WCIV) — Voters will be offered free rides to the polls on election day through the South Carolina Coalition for Voter Participation.
Individuals who need reliable transportation in Berkeley, Calhoun, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Georgetown, Lexington and Orangeburg counties are able to request a ride through calling(843) 225-0822 or toll free through (833) 348-7350.
Transportation will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m. and voters are asked to request a ride as soon as possible.
Voters will be transported regardless of race or party affiliation.
