Rare founding fathers signed letter to be auctioned
(CNN)– A rare letter signed by three founding fathers could see for $1 million at auction next week.
Auction House Bonhams says the artifact dated 1784 is addresses to the “envoy extraordinary of the king of the two sicilies”.
It was signed by John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson.
The letter discusses negotiations for a treaty of amity and commerce.
Bidding starts at $550,000 when the auction opens next Tuesday, Nov. 12.
