Sumter organization asking community for help restock food pantry

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter United Ministries: Rebuilding Lives is asking the community for help as their food pantry is getting low.

According to the organization’s social media page, a large number of people have requested food and the organization would like to be able to continue to help people through the holidays.

Anyone who is able to help, is asked to donate non-expired food items like jelly/jam, canned fruits and veggies, canned meats and proteins, frozen meats and veggies, and more.

Donations can be dropped off between 9 a.m., and 3 p.m. from Monday through Friday at SUM (36 S. Artillery Drive).

Anyone with questions should call 803-775-0757.
