Dog treats recalled for salmonella risk

(CNN)– Dog owners need to be cautious about what they’re feeding their ‘best friends’.

Sixteen ounce bags of “Hollywood Feed Carolina Made Chicken Chips” have been recalled due to a potential salmonella threat.

FDA officials say dogs who eat salmonella-tainted food can suffer several health issues including: nausea, fever, and abdominal cramping.

People who touch contaminated products can also be affected with the same symptoms.

The recalled chicken chips were sold online and in nearly 20 states.
