NAACP: Uptick in hate crimes in SC

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The NAACP of South Carolina State Conference says it is concerned about the recent uptick in hate-related incidents.

According to the civil rights organization, reports of racist acts including assault and intimidation have been rising at an increasing rate across the state.

Officials say they have been in connect with the FBI and local law enforcement regarding the incidents.

The NAACP South Carolina Conference says they urge everyone who experiences or witness hate-related incidents to report them immediately.
