Local Living: Lights at the State Museum, Holiday Lights on the River, Tinsel Trail, Fireflies Holiday Lights

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the State Museum will kick-off the holiday season this Thursday.

From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., museum goers will have a chance to meet Santa, see holiday shows, and experience the lighting of the planetarium when the dome is transformed into a giant snow-globe.

It will light up each night after dark, throughout the holiday season.

 

The Midlands’ largest drive-thru light show kicks off tonight, Monday, Dec. 2.

Holiday Lights on the River opens nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Saluda Shoals Park now through December 31.

You and the family can enjoy millions of sparkling lights, the Winter Wonder tube slide, a hay ride, visits from Santa himself, and more.

The Kershaw Parks and Recreation is also lighting up the night with its Tinsel Trail.

It’s held from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every evening through December 31.

The event will be held at the Wateree River Veterans Park on U.S. Highway 1 in Lugoff.

You and the family can enjoy seeing several Christmas lights, and Christmas trees.

   

There will also be a light show at Segra Park.

Fireflies Holiday Lights will have more lights and more activities than ever before.

Don’t miss the return of the Fireflies Express.

The lights will be open now through January 4 on select nights.

Ticket prices are $12 per person, if you have children 2 and under they get in for free.
