City of Columbia taking submissions for Holiday Decorating Contest

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of Columbia is announcing its first-ever Holiday Decorating Contest, and inviting local businesses and nonprofit organizations to join in a city-wide celebration of holiday cheer.
City officials say the primary goal of the contest is to foster community involvement while promoting Columbia’s holiday traditions.
The contest encourages participants to showcase their creativity and holiday spirit through festive decorations this season.
Key Dates:
- December 13th – Deadline for contest entries.
- December 16th – Announcement of finalists, with public voting beginning on social media.
- December 22nd – Voting ends and winner selected.
- December 23rd – Winner announced, just in time for the holidays.
The contest is open to all businesses and non-profit organizations within the City of Columbia.
The winner of the contest will receive a $500 prize.
