The drawing for the 10th largest jackpot in Mega Millions history happens on Friday, December 6.

The estimated $579 million prize comes after no ticket matched all 6 numbers in last night’s drawing.

If taken as a cash payout, it would be nearly $277 million.

The largest Mega Millions jackpot on record was $1.6 billion.

The single winning ticket was sold in Florida last year.
