Woman arrested after domestic dispute turns into fatal stabbing, say deputies

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office says a 54-year-old woman has been arrested after a domestic dispute in Ridgeway turned into a fatal stabbing.
Deputies responded to a reported stabbing around noon on Wednesday, December 4, at a home on Salutation Lane in the Ridgeway area of Fairfield County.
When deputies arrived to the scene, a man with a knife wound to his chest was found.
A deputy who responded to the scene began to do lifesaving measures until EMS arrived.
But despite the efforts, the victim identified as 44 year-old George Thomas Yorn Jr. succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Authorities say 54-year-old Tammi Neal who is a resident of the home is accused of the stabbing Yorn Jr.
She was taken into custody and taken to the Fairfield County Detention Center.
Neal is being charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime and is awaiting arraignment.
