2 taken to hospital after home fire in Richland County
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Two people were taken to a hospital after a fire broke out at a home on Friday morning on Beaverbrook Road in Richland County, said the fire department.
Second shift fire crews arrived on Beaverbrook Road before 11 a.m. on Friday, December 13, to find heavy fire, and smoke coming from throughout the home.
The fire department said during searches of the home one person was found in a rear bedroom and firefighters were able to get the person out through a window.
The person was taken from the scene by the Richland County EMS.
A second person was also taken away from the scene of the fire to be treated for minor injuries.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control and extinguished it.
The Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office is looking into what caused the fire and officials said the Richland County Coroners Office has also been called in as well.
