Columbia Police investigating Richland/Lexington School District 5 bus collision

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Officers with the Columbia Police Department are investigating a single-vehicle collision that involves a Richland/Lexington School District 5 bus.

Police say the bus driver and students were onboard the bus at the time of the collision.

No serious injuries were reported.

EMS personnel cared for the students & driver on scene rather than transporting them to a local hospital.

Law enforcement say the circumstances of the collision remain under investigation by the department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
