ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Superintendent of the Orangeburg County School District delivered his 2024 State of the District Address this week.

In November of 2022, Orangeburg County voters approved a $190 million bond referendum.

Since then, the district has invested in facility improvements, including buildings and football fields.

A declining population has also led to the consolidation of several schools.

And while the district saw increases in several subjects, test scores sit below the state average in many areas.

Topics addresses by Dr. Foster were how the district will also focus on athletics and other activities in the new year.
