Walmart to test out body cameras on employees

(CNN)– Walmart is the latest retailer to have some of its employees use body cameras.

In a statement to USA Today, Walmart doesn’t give specifics on its security measures, but notes it’s a move to utilize the latest in retail industry technology.

A person close to the project tells the newspaper this is a focus on employee safety at a handful of stores.

Stores like TJMAXX, and HomeGoods are already using body cameras in some of its locations in efforts to cut down on shoplifting.
