Firefighters respond to multiple fires at Midlands prison

 

CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fire crews responded to a Midlands prison on Wednesday, December 18.

Officials with Clarendon County Fire and Rescue say they responded to the Tuberville Correctional Institution after multiple fires were found within the facility.

A department spokesperson says the fires were quickly extinguished.

Some people were treated by the facility’s medical staff but no one needed to be transported to a hospital.

The cause of the fires have not yet been released.
