Update: 4-year-old child dies after shooting on Harbison Boulevard on Christmas Eve

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Lexington County Coroner’s Office has identified a 4-year-old boy who was shot and killed on Christmas Eve.

Coroner Margaret Fisher says Jah’el E. Walker, of Columbia, was shot while he was inside a vehicle on the 200 block of Harbison Boulevard around 3 p.m.

He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Columbia Police & SLED are also investigating this incident.
