3rd person arrested in connection with death of K9 Officer Bumi

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrest of the third person believed to be responsible for the death of K9 Officer Bumi.

Sheriff Lott says the parents of 17-year-old Damian Brown turned him over to law enforcement after his mother contact their Fugitive Task Force on Saturday, December 28, around 11 a.m.

Because of the multiple severe changes Brown will be tried as an adult.

After the teen’s arrest Lott said that he “wanted to thank everyone in the community who has continued to support K9 Specialist Ware and that your prayers and acts of kindness remind our deputies why this job is so purposeful”.
