Fireworks Noise Ordinance in Richland, Lexington Counties

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– If you’re planning on putting on your own fireworks show on New Year’s Eve, it’s good to know the rules first.

Both Richland and Lexington counties have noise ordinances when it comes to fireworks.

In Richland County you can shoot fireworks until 1 in the morning, if you go later than that you could face a fine of $500.

In Lexington County, the noise ordinance goes into effect at 12:30 a.m. in the morning.

A violation in the county could cost you $150.
