SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of a 22-year-old man on multiple charges, said the sheriff’s office.

Jaden Shamont Smith is wanted in connection with attempted murder (x3), discharging firearms into a dwelling (x2), possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and criminal conspiracy.

Investigators said Smith has been identified as a suspect in a Wednesday, January 1, shooting that happened on East Red Bay Road in Sumter where a juvenile was wounded.
