Red Cross volunteers travel to California to assist with disaster relief efforts
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Volunteers from the Red Cross of South Carolina are traveling to California to assist in disaster relief efforts as wildfires force thousands to continue to evacuate.
The volunteers will help supply safe shelter, food, emotional support and health services.
The Red Cross of South Carolina says it is prepared to send more volunteers if they’re needed.
