Dept. of Veteran Affairs expanding benefits for Veterans

The Department of Veterans Affairs is expanding benefits for those who served multiple periods of service.

Officials say veterans’ such as those who may have served and then re-enlisted are now eligible for an additional year of education benefits.

Officials with the VA say they will reach out to the more than 1 million Veterans who qualify for the additional benefit.
