City of Columbia opens overflow shelter

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Due to the winter weather in Columbia, the city has opened the overflow shelter, according to the Columbia Police Department.

The shelter will open at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, for the unsheltered population.

Also at that time, Comet buses will pick up those in need from the Transitions Homeless Center on Main Street.
