COMET adjusting services due to Winter weather

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (The COMET) is adjusting its transit service due to the Winter Weather Warning/Advisory issued by the National Weather Service, said officials.

Service adjustments: 

  • Due to the potential inclement weather and road conditions later this afternoon, service will be stopped starting at 4 p.m. Tuesday as the routes perform their last trip.
  • Regular service will be delayed Wednesday morning Jan. 22 until approximately 10 a.m. depending on road conditions.
  • The last outbound trips will depart the COMET Central hub downtown at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21.
