Area in Woodcreek neighborhood reopens after natural gas line leak

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington Police said Stoneridge Drive of the Woodcreek neighborhood has reopened.

And officers are assisting with directing traffic within the neighborhood with residents who were waiting to get in and out.

Also, the department said crews with Dominion Energy will be working on the edge of Stoneridge Drive at Ridgecrest Drive through the evening on repairs.

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– A natural gas line leak on Stoneridge Drive at Wood Cut Road has access in and out of the Woodcreek neighborhood blocked, said Lexington Police.

Lexington Police Department said Lexington County Fire Service is at the scene along with officers who are assisting with traffic.

Dominion Energy is at the scene also working to fix the natural gas leak and restore service to everyone in the neighborhood.

This closure is likely to last until 6 p.m.
