Former RCSD K9 Specialists charged with misconduct in office, accused of selling dept. equipment
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says two former RCSD K9 Specialists have been charged with misconduct in office.
Both 34-year-old Isaac Page, and 34-year-old Kory Mayo are accused of selling sheriff’s department equipment for personal gain.
Richland County Sheriff’s Department says while searching social media platforms on Jan. 22, a Richland County investigator found some items for sale that appeared to be for law enforcement use.
“I am angry that these two individuals betrayed not only my trust but the trust of the community,” Sheriff Lott says.
An investigation revealed that Page was the one who was selling the items. Investigators set up a time and location for a purchase to be made with Page.
The sheriff’s department says Page showed up to the sale while on duty and in a county vehicle.
As the investigation continued, it was also revealed that Mayo was identified as also being involved in previous transactions while on duty and while utilizing his county vehicle.

Both men were terminated on last Thursday, January 23.
Page and Mayo were arrested, charged and booked at the Alvin S. Glen Detention Center on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
Isaac Page has been with the sheriff’s department for 4 years, serving as a deputy and then K9 handler.
Kory Mayo has been with the department for 2 ½ years serving all his time as a K9 handler.
“They have tarnished the badge, and the trust of their brothers in blue, and I will do whatever it takes to ensure they never work in law enforcement again,” continues Sheriff Lott.
