Lexington men arrested in connection with child sexual abuse material charges
LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson has announced the arrest of two Lexington men in connection with child sexual abuse material charges.
Matthew Leonard Loveridge, 20, of Cayce, and Christopher Paul Come, 28, of Pelion were arrested on seven total charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors.
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators along with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department made the arrests in these unrelated cases.
Investigators received CyberTipline reports from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to both Loveridge and Comer.
Both men are accused of distributing files of child sexual abuse material.
Loveridge was arrested on Tuesday, January 28, and charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor (second degree) which is a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.
Comer was arrested on Tuesday, January 28, as well, and charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor (second degree) which is a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.
Both cases will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
