RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland Firefighters extinguished an afternoon house fire on Saturday, said the fire department.

The fire department said 1st shift crews made a quick stop to a fire at a home in the 800 block of Calhoun Street around 2:15 p.m.

Firefighters said the fire appeared to have started on the outside of the property and extended into the attic.

Crews got the fire under control and extinguished.

No one was injured and one person was left displaced after the fire, according to Columbia-Richland Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
