South Carolina State Fair opens applications for 2025 college scholarships

Richland County, SC (WOLO) — You still have more than half a year to go before it’s time to head to the State Fair grounds to enjoy all of the fried foods, and fast rides you can. However, it is perfect time to have college ready teenagers apply for the 2025 ‘Ride of your Life’ scholarship program.

The South Carolina State Fair is now accepting applications for high schoolers who plan to use the money to continue their education at a public or private college, university or technical college within the Palmetto State. 52 students will be awarded $10,000 dollar scholarships that will be dispersed at a rate of $2,500 dollars a year of four years. One lucky Circle K employee, or one of their dependants will get one $10,000 scholarship that will be given to them over a period of four years.

Applicants will be chosen based on their need, academic and or extracurricular accomplishments, communication skills and aptitude for the completion of the application itself.
