UPDATE: SLED says fugitive wanted for attempted murder has been caught

HAMPTON, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) says a fugitive wanted for attempted murder has been captured.

Agents say 39-year-old Rodney Fields from Yemassee was wanted on two counts of attempted murder, and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime stemming from an incident in the Town of Hampton.

SLED agents are helping the Hampton Police Department with an investigation involving one person who was shot on Holly Street on October 13, 2024.

Again, Fields has been arrested.
