Columbia Police arrest 22-year-old in connection with fatal Caughman Road hit-and-run

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police Traffic Safety Unit & Violent Crime investigators have arrested a 22-year-old in connection with a fatal hit-and-run on Caughman Road, said CPD.
Mikah Macey was arrested for the fatal hit-and-run on Jan.25, that killed 37-year-old Javashia C. Morris, of Columbia.
Macey is charged with hit-and-run involving death, failure to render aid, and disregarding a stop sign.
In court on Friday, Feb. 7, a judge set a $150,000 surety bond.
Morris was thrown from her vehicle after the collision, according to law enforcement.
She died a few days before her birthday.
