Snacks your dog should avoid at your Super Bowl party!
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The Super Bowl is this Sunday and there will be plenty of parties to celebrate. But it’s important to remember that many game-day favorites aren’t safe for your dog.
Tyler spoke with Crystal Byler, Administrator/Trainer with Dog Training Elite, about certain foods that can harm your four-legged baby:
- Chicken Wings: Cooked bones can splinter and cause serious digestive issues
- Guacamole: Avocados, garlic, and onions are toxic to dogs
- Chips and Dip: High salt content in chips and potential toxic ingredients in dips can harm your dog
- Chocolate Desserts: Even a small amount of chocolate can be dangerous
- Alcohol: Keep all drinks out of reach—alcohol is toxic to dogs, even in small amounts
Instead, she says to give your pup a dog-friendly treat, like a peanut butter-filled Kong or homemade dog-safe snacks for the festivities.
