40% would take pay cut to work remotely

(CNN)– A new Harvard study puts a monetary value on remote work.

It found 40% of people surveyed would take a pay cut of 5% or more to continue working from home.

And 9% would take a cut of 20% or more to avoid going into the office.

The highest share of workers willing to take a salary cut were people who worked remotely before the pandemic, changed jobs during the pandemic, or had a college degree.

Women were more likely than men to take a 20% or more salary reduction.
