Man airlifted to hospital after Kershaw Co. shooting
Kershaw Co., SC (WOLO) — The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that took place just after 3:30 Tuesday. According to authorities, they learned of the incident after getting a 911 call reporting that a man had been shot on Calvert Drive in Bethune. Deputies say they started rendering medical aid to the victim as soon as they arrived on the scene.
A short time later authorities say the victim was airlifted to the hospital. Officials believe the gunman left the area immediately after the shooting and are ensuring residents that there is no current danger to the public.
Kershaw County Investigators along with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are on the scene gathering additional information.
