Local Living: SC Black History Parade and Festival, Cinderella Project, USC Dance Marathon

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living,  the 20th South Carolina Black History Parade and Festival will take place this Saturday, Feb. 22.

The parade starts at 1 p.m. at Hampton and Harden Streets.

Senator Maggie Glover will be the grand marshal, and the festival will be held at MLK Park on Greene Street.

There will be food, drinks and a performance from Comedian Annie McKnight.

 

You can help make someone’s prom dream come true with the SC Bar Young Lawyers Divisions’ Cinderella Project.

High schoolers can shop at the Columbia boutique this Saturday, Feb. 22, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Brookland Baptist Church.

You can donate new and used dresses, suits, accessories and more that will be available to high schoolers at no cost.

USC students will dance the night away for a good cause on Saturday, Feb. 22.

The annual USC Dance Marathon is from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Wellness and Fitness Center on Blossom Street.

More than a thousand students will dance, perform, and play games to raise money for Prisma Health Children’s Hospital.
