Parents charged with homicide by child abuse

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)–Richland Co. deputies say Caleb and Kyla Nix are facing charges in connection with the death of their daughter.
Investigators say on December 18, 2024, deputies responded to a home on Stone Hill Rd. at the request of Emergency Medical Services after a 7-month old baby was found unresponsive.
Deputies say the baby died at the hospital.
Officials say an autopsy revealed the cause of death to be blunt force trauma.
According to authorities Caleb Nix, 22 and Kyla Nix, 24 were arrested on February 14th and charged with Homicide by Child Abuse.
