Gamecocks coach hosts 3rd annual Beamer Family Boys Symposium

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Gamecock Football Coach Shane Beamer had a chance to reach out to some Midlands boys this afternoon at the third annual Beamer Family Boys Symposium.

This year’s theme was ‘Go The Distance’.

Elementary school aged boys from 6 different area schools had a chance to learn about mentorship, character development, and goal-setting from Coach Beamer and other prominent community leaders, student-athletes and educators.

Coach Beamer and his wife Emily launched the Beamer Family Foundation in 2022 to improve the lives of children in the Richland County area by helping to provide educational and medical needs.
