Amazon’s Alexa gets AI upgrade

(CNN)– Amazon’s Alexa is getting a major upgrade for the AI chat-bot era, Alexa+ was unveiled today.

According to the company, the new Alexa is more conversational and can incorporate a user’s personal preferences into answers.

Amazon says the revamped version of its popular voice assistant can also handle certain tasks on someone’s behalf, like booking concert tickets.

The service costs $20 per month but will be free for amazon prime members, with early access coming next month.
