Midlands woman accused of selling drugs sentenced to 10 years in prison
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands woman will spend a decade in prison for selling drugs, officials say.
Monday, March 3, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Kayla Martin of Cayce was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking.
Officials say two men were arrested in 2022 after a traffic stop yielded over a kilo of meth.
Investigators determined those drugs were supposed to go to Martin.
Officials say she was already a convicted felon on supervised release from a 2020 drug conviction.
