Doge wants to charge government agency

(CNN)– The Department of Government efficiency wants to charge one federal agency millions of dollars for its work.

The Elon Musk led Doge asked the office of personnel management to pay for twenty full-time positions.

The draft agreement details a request for workers’ salaries to be covered between January 20 through July 4, 2026.

OPM’s total bill could reach more than $4 million.

Per the draft agreement terms the OPM is also required to provide Doge access to its data and systems along with operational and technical support.
