Uber, Waymo roll out driverless rides in Austin
(CNN)– For the first time people in Austin, Texas can now call a ride without a driver.
From the Uber app, users can book a ride in the autonomous Jaguar I-PACE, the vehicles fit up to four passengers.
Uber users can boost their chances of getting a Waymo driver-less car by adjusting their rider preferences.
There is no added cost.
If you do not want to go driver-less, you can request a different car.
Uber plans to expand the driver-less rides in other cities.
They will launch in Atlanta later this year.
