LRADAC holds annual Black Balloon Day

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Lexington and Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council, more commonly known as LRADAC, held its annual Black Balloon Day to honor lives lost to a drug overdose.

According to the organization, 183 people died from a drug overdose in 2024.

According to the director of prevention free resources like narcan and fentanyl testing strips are available anytime to the public.

They also say if you’re struggling with addiction, simply walk in their front door and ask for help.

Individual care plans are provided at no cost.
