Spring Break travel season begins

(CNN)– Spring break season is officially underway.

The Transportation Security Administration says the peak Spring break travel period runs Thursday, March 6, through March 24.

TSA is expecting air travel passenger volume to increase by more than 5%.

Arrive early and be prepared for long lines.

Also, a quick reminder ahead of the summer travel season is to be sure to register for your Real ID.

By May 7, all U.S. travelers will need a Real ID to fly domestic.
