Pedestrian struck and killed on Two Notch Road overnight

RICHLAND CO., S.C. (WOLO) – South Carolina Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was struck and killed overnight.

Trooper Lena Butler says it happened at 3:58 a.m. on Two Notch Road near Atrium Way, approximately 3 miles east of Columbia.

According to Butler, a 2019 Ford Ranger struck the pedestrian while they were crossing Two Notch Road.

The pedestrian died on scene from their injuries and the driver wasn’t hurt.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office is working on identifying the victim.

Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
