Columbia Water issues boil water advisory at The Wellsprings Apartments

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Water officials issued a boil water advisory for those living at The Wellsprings Apartments, 500 Harbison Blvd.

According to officials, they experienced an eight inch water main break Sunday, which could possibly result in bacterial contamination of the water at the apartment complex.

They say to continue to boil your water vigorously for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking until otherwise notified by Columbia Water laboratory staff.

Also, any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.

Columbia Water says its staff is working to correct the problem.
