Trailer home total loss after Monday afternoon fire, firefighters say

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A trailer home off of Dairy Street was left a total loss after a fire tore through it on Monday afternoon, said firefighters.
Columbia-Richland Fire Department 2nd shift crews responded to a fire off Farrow Road shortly after 4:20 p.m. on Monday, March 10.
While in-route firefighters saw smoke in the air and called for a working fire dispatch, said CRFD.
Crews got to the scene and saw fire and heavy smoke coming from the home.
No one was home at the time of the fire but a dog was located near the outside of the structure.
Firefighters were able to get the dog to safety and brought the fire under control. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
