USC has record number of applicants

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Officials at USC say they have received a record number of applications for the fall of 2025.

A University of South Carolina spokesperson says more than 60,000 people applied for admission, a 13% increase over last year.

Final acceptance decisions have not been made yet but officials expect next year’s freshman class to be slightly larger than this year’s class of more than 7,000 students.
