Employee burnout cost companies money

(CNN)– A new study shows employee burnout is hurting American businesses.

Researchers at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy in Manhattan found burnout can cost employers up to $5 million a year in lost productivity, like missed workdays.

The study found burnout cost employers about $4,000  for non-managerial employees, around $10,000 for managers, and more than $20,000 for executives.

Some signs of burnout include a drop in performance, missed deadlines, and more mistakes in an employee’s work.
