SC agencies team up for Operation Ice Storm

(CNN)– Ten agencies from across the Palmetto state gathered in Sumter County last month for operation “Ice Storm”.

Law enforcement agencies converged on I-95 to assert interstate criminal enforcement.

Officials say Operation Ice Storm completed more than 1200 traffic stops for violations.

Fifty of those stops required officers to deploy K9s.

Officers seized illegal drugs, firearms, counterfeit goods, and illicitly gained currency.

Twenty-five arrests were made, including five fugitives with warrants and three illegal immigrants who will be placed into removal proceedings by Ice.
