SLED special agents requesting public help about information on early morning November church fire

DENMARK, S.C. (WOLO)– Special Agents with the S.C. Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is requesting public help about an early morning November church fire, said SLED.

SLED said the early morning fire happened on November 9, 2024, at Bethel Park United Methodist Church on Beech Avenue in Denmark.

Denmark Police Department requested the SLED Arson Unit to investigate the fire.

The fire did not reach the sanctuary of the church, but the smoke and flames caused thousands of dollars in damage throughout the building, according to SLED.

SLED’s investigation is active and ongoing.
