Walmart caught in the middle of trade war between U.S. and China

(CNN)– Walmart is caught in the middle of an escalating trade war between the U.S. and China.

Last week, Bloomberg reported the retail giant was trying to find a solution to its tariff woes by asking some of its Chinese suppliers for significant price cuts to offset the tariffs imposed by President Trump.

According to State Media, Chinese officials summoned Walmart executives to investigate those claims on Tuesday.

In a possible warning, it added that Chinese authorities could take action.
