Prisma Health officials say out about measles
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Some troubling new numbers about the measles outbreak.
Only three months into 2025, the United States has surpassed the total number of measles cases in the country for all of last year.
That’s according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
While state health officials say there have not been any cases in South Carolina yet, vaccine dis-information is hastening the spread of this once dormant disease.
So far in 2025, there have been 308 measles cases.
In 2024, the agency reported 285 cases.
